IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL
STIHL BR 800 X and C-E
The fan wheel inside the backpack blower can break apart, posing a laceration hazard. IMMEDIATELY DISCONTINUE use of a recalled BR 800 backpack blower and take it to an authorized STIHL dealer for a free inspection and repair.
The models included are STIHL BR 800 Xand C-E, within serial number range 546515117 to 547916107.

The fan wheel part number is 4283-700-3402 and can be ordered as you would order blower parts in any other situation. For your fan wheel inventory planning needs - we expect a fan wheel replacement rate of approximately 1%.
After each inspection and/or repair, using a permanent marker make a black dot to the right of the serial number on the label found on the blower tube, so that someone in the future will understand that the backpack blower has already been reworked.
